What works
Everything worked. It installed fine with Xubuntu 8.04.1, Wine 1.0.0. I specifically copied almost 6,000 images from one folder to another so I could see how it did with large tasks, which was great. It worked great with single files as well. The icon on the desktop opens it fine and then I just browsed to what I wanted shredded.
It has an option to shred files and anpther option to shred whole folders.
What does not
After I ran the 6,000 image shred test and single ones. I decided to try something. I went into my home folder through File Shredder to see if I could find and shred the .thumbnails folder. I could not find it. The only way around it was to rename it thumbnails, taking away the "." in front of it. While it has an option to type in the specific file, for example /home/yournamehere/.thumbnails/image111.png, it does not have the option to type in the actual folder.
Also it does not add a "right click to shred" option in the linux menu. You have to open the program up and then browse to what you want shredded.
Workarounds
What was not tested
Tested everything I could think of.

Additional Comments
Right clicked the .exe and ran it with wine. No problems at all installing it or running it as is.
