What does not
Gameplay:
There is a major graphics glitch with the current version of Eudemons Online.
Firstly, to even get "soul.exe" to run successfully, a current real copy of MFC42.DLL must be placed in the "system32" folder of your .wine directory, preferably from an up-to-date version of Windows XP and not from some DLL website. At this point you can log in to the game, but all you will get is a black screen. This is not because of incompatible client versions, which will normally give you a black screen. Gnome System Monitor or some other GUI application that lets you target processes must be used to end Eudemons Online, because the game's process does not have a label and shows up as blank.
To get in-game graphics, you must emulate a virtual desktop at a size of 1024x768 at 96 DPI. This causes the in-game graphics to show, but everything is moved 100% completely to the left. The display is rendered outside of the virtual desktop while input is only received within the virtual desktop. This makes the game unplayable.
The in-game graphics match those of the Windows XP version and even look a little better. Unfortunately the graphics placement are not synchronized with input, so all you can do is click randomly, watch your character run around, and then close your program via the window manager's [X].
Workarounds
What was not tested
Extended gameplay, but from the looks of it, everything will work perfectly once the graphics are synchronized with the input space.

Additional Comments
If this serious flaw can be fixed, the game can be at least rated bronze. The bronze rating states "Works but has issues for normal use." In this case, it has serious issues, but it does honestly work.

414NXabaras writes:
Logging in the game is a little painful. Whenever I write a character in the user-id field, all previous characters on-screen disappear. To circumvent this, I press the left or right arrow key to make them reappear. Writing in the password field is worse. The only way through is to count the asterisks (*), in order to check if all the characters contained in the password where read.
