What does not
What was not tested
Long playing, network, sound
To install the game one should copy whole CD1, Data2 and Data3 cabs (WinterAssault3.cab for WA, no tricks for DC, because it's shipped on 1 CD) to the same dir. Otherwise, install will hang on changing disks. About 80% of all in-game textures are not working. Only some units and buildings are drawn correctly. Tested on 2 different machines: MSI Wind U90 Netbook with Mandriva 2010.0 and a PC with Gentoo Linux - same bugs. Plus on the netbook the screen is flipped over the horizontal axis. Hardware: Netbook - CPU Atom 1.6 GHz, Video Intel 945GM, driver - xf86-video-intel (stable, not from git), 512 Mb RAM, Wine 1.2-rc2 from official repo. PC - CPU Athlon XP 2200+, Video Radeon 9600XT, driver - xf86-video-ati (tested both from git and stable), 1024 Mb RAM, Wine 1.2-rc1/rc2.

After you installed the game you may get a performance boost if you use the latest version of DirectX 9.
The easiest way to do so, is using winetricks:
Read more about winetricks, here:
If you don't get asked for CD keys during installation you have to save them manually afterwards to be able to play online with all races.
Run "regedit" from a console and locate these keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\THQ\Dawn of War\CDKEY
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\THQ\Dawn of War\CDKEY_WXP
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\THQ\Dawn of War - Soulstorm\CDKEY
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\THQ\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\CDKEY
Substitute the empty keys (0000-0000-...) with your keys and close regedit.
If you have problems with completely corrupted textures the problem might be that your systems lacks a library that is used for texture compression in Dawn of War.
Under Debian based system install the package "libtxc-dxtn-s2tc0" and try again.
