Installation (with PlayOnLinux-Script), videos, playing the game

Because of SecuROM one needs a noCD-Patch, with this Patch it is not possible to do certain, very important, Quests (e.g. Mother Ratzinski, you end up locked in a cell once you enter the Cellar, this is known to be caused by the Patch).

This makes the Game hardly playable.

Minor graphics Glitch: All Trees are white. UseGLSL=enabled must be set manually in Registry (at least for my Nvidia7600GT).

HowTo / Notes

HOWTO get Drakensang running

Get the latest Wine development release.
Install Drakensang.
Install the Drakensang patch to version 1.01.
Install DirectX 9.0 June or newer (if you have problems use winetricks).
Install and register the required DLLs for the XACT audio engine (see forum post (German) and comments here in the AppDB). Alternatively you can use this script to add and register the dlls.
Try to start the game. If you have problems, read the next two hints.

If you have problems with the videos: Try to start Drakensang with the option "-novideo".
If you get the error message

err:d3d:getColorBits Unsupported format: WINED3DFMT_R32F
```
have a look at bug report 14758. Get the hack posted there, get the newest Git version of Wine, apply the hack and compile Wine yourself.
