ConceptDraw Office (v6 I guess it is now) still installs just fine using Wine.
All menu's and icons look correct.
The ConceptDraw Project tool also seems to work just fine.
What does not
ConceptDraw Office Mindmap tool problems:
When using the MindMap tool all menu and icon's look correct however the actual mindmap graphics are distorted somehow. In some cases they disappear when clicked. No text is visible despite changing text colors black to white etc.
I have tried installing the gdiplus.dll ... made no difference.
ConceptDraw Office "Pro" tool (re the diagramming tool) problems:
As with the Mindmap tool all menu's and icons look correct but diagrams placed into the work area don't display text and fade in/out.
I've contacted Odessa Software who makes ConceptDraw and talked to them. Their current software is awesome but is available for only Windows and Mac OSX.
I did relate to them that their ConceptDraw Office Product is close to being operational under WINE on Linux but there were the above problems.
I'm not sure why their Project Management s/w module works/displays correctly and not the Mindmap and Visio-type diagramming tool. But that module's displays are being processed differently than the 2 modules that don't work.
I made them aware that if they can figure out the difference and correct it, perhaps they could gain a new market for their really great s/w without having to do a ground up linux rewrite.
What was not tested
automagic update of mindmap by proj mgmt changes - and - vice versa
