For the most part, the program works fully. I can use all the default filters, and I don't see any crashing or anything from any of the program features at this time.
What does not
First of all, all the sub-windows are global - this horribly sucks when you're trying to multitask, because the windows obscure every program you try to work with. Also, the bug related to resizing the sub-windows is still there; if you try to resize one of the sub-windows after you've opened a graphic, WINE lags, then crashes. Also, the bottom bar on the Layers/Channels/Paths menu doesn't show up by default; this can be dealt with by switching around (switching from Layers to Channels or something), but WINE then makes the whole sub-window larger. After five or six uses, the sub-window was so tall I had to set it to "appear on top" to reach the bottom and resize it!
Also, I attempted to install a few third party Photoshop plugins; NONE of ActiveSkin's plugins (Eye Candy 4000, Eye Candy 5, Xenofex 2, Image Doctor 1) work in WINE. The install seems to go fine, but Photoshop claims they're installed wrong...

When you want to use the clone tool, you'll find the following useful:
ALT-Click is intercepted by most window managers and used as the "move window", so you have to either use shift-alt-click instead, or configure your window manager to use something else for "move window". For instance, on Ubuntu, do System / Windows / Movement Key, and pick "Super" instead of "Alt". See also the codeweavers FAQ.
Thanks to earther for the following email:
I was having problems with the Photoshop 7 ALT-Click keybinding in a new Debian install running Compiz. I did the standard window manager tweak but it still didn't work properly. Then I discovered an ALT-Click keybinding in the Compiz Window Management > Move Window > Initiate Window Move settings. I changed it to 'super' like in Gnome window management and voila, it seemed to get it working again in Photoshop. You might want to add that bit of info to the clone tool info on the Photoshop 7 page. earther
