What works

Installing from CD image (info hash 3A6C92DDD68889A861CC3DA6D89D3831A375C491), launching, playing.

What does not

Audio crackling. This is probably an external issue though.

Workarounds

1. needs a 32-bit WINEPREFIX
2. needs dsdmo (Zebediah Figura helped figure this out.)

So, for example:
export WINEPREFIX=~/.wine32
WINEARCH=win32 wineboot -u
winetricks dsdmo
wine Asterix.exe

Then I got "an installation error occurred module 50279" on launch (set winecfg to use a emulated desktop otherwise you won't see this message only black screen)

That was fixed by replacing the GameModule.elb file with sha256sum 35e780a40e4ee625430cb37982deebd085960c37091f3a60465c5aa207ab58a0

What was not tested

Playing more than a a few minutes... yet :)
