Maintainers: About Maintainership
What works
opening, playing, editing single sound files, adding built-in effects, mixing multiple tracks
What does not
Some fonts were missing in the GUI (the big clock, the level meter and the vertical dB-scale showed no numbers).
Workarounds
Audition required to be installed in a 32-bit WINEPREFIX. Installing it in the standard 64-bit PREFIX seemed to work, but the program would not run.
So first create a 32-bit WINEPREFIX with e.g.
WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=/home/USERNAME/wine32/ winecfg
Then install Audition into that new prefix with
WINEPREFIX=/home/USERNAME/wine32/ wine start /unix "path_to_installer"
For the missing fonts copy the Microsoft Sans Serif font (micross.ttf) to /home/USERNAME/.local/share/fonts
What was not tested
I did not try every effect. Never used Audition for video...
