In version 3.0 you can now use VSTi plug-ins to create music sequences in the built-in piano-roll editor.
The installation on Wine 6.0 worked again without explicitly installing Audition 3.0 in a 32bit Prefix. I could just run Auditions setup and got a working installation without any problems.
Opening, playing, editing single sound files, mixing multiple tracks, applying built-in effects, working in waveform view and spectral view is all functional.
What does not
Some fonts were missing in the GUI (the big clock, the level meter and the vertical dB-scale showed no numbers).
For the missing GUI-elements it is still needed to have micross.ttf installed (e.g. in /$User/.local/share/fonts).
For a smoother experience I would recommend to install the gdiplus.dll through winetricks.
What was not tested
Never used Audition for video files.
