Micrografx Picture Publisher

A simple yet powerful image manipulation program. I personally believe it has the power of photoshop, with the ease of use of paint. While GIMP can technically do most of these tasks under Linux, the UI for GIMP is significantly more complex. EG, rotating a selection in GIMP requires entering the degrees, in Picture Publisher, you use a gui tool.

What works

Wine 0.9.17

Will install.

Majority of functions are 100%.. .usable with workarounds.

Direct draw rendering may affect display but not crash.

What does not

Open/save file dialog..crash..tried various comdlg32 versions..seems to be related to iGbrw.dll from picture pub...was iffy on windows 9x anyway!....can save via 'export for web' which uses standard comdlg ... can open using command line.

Crashes using add text tool.

Cannot remove items from toolbar but can add.

What was not tested

Later wine version..problem with present distro...suspect file dialog problems will still be present as program code iffy.

Additional Comments
