What works
I have used this software for a number of years since its DOS version and have built up a number of databases in that time. The software installed first time onto my system which is running Wine 1.0 on Ubuntu 8.04. All of the databases seem to work perfectly with no problems in using the search and report functions. As far as I can see it works perfectly under Wine.

I spent a lot of time looking for a native Linux application to replace AskSam but was unsuccessful. Given the large amount of information I have stored in this system it was important that I could access it if I moved to Linux. I am very happy that it runs so flawlessly with Wine.
