The Installation Process
The GUI front End.
What does not
The Media Server Component
What was not tested
Media Server functionality
This version of wine now enables the GUI front end to work. In all tests it worked perfectly, except sections that required communication to the Media Server component. Trying to start the server with the installed shortcuts bombs without an error message and fails to start the service. Trying to manually do a net start TVersityMediaServer from withing a command prompt generates the error "Could not get a handle to service" Trying to start the server using wine net start TVersityMediaserver generates the following: err:service:load_reg_multisz Error 1804 while reading value L"DependOnService" err:service:scmdatabase_load_services Error 1804 reading registry key for service L"TVersityMediaServer" - skipping Could not get handle to service. Trying to start the server via wine MediaServer.exe -start throws the same above message with the extra line: Unable to start TVersity Media Server - Service does not exist (0x424). Not sure why the extra L is appearing for the service names but I checked regedit and the services looks to be properly registered there. services.exe wont rune under wine so I can't check installed services or anything within Windows that way.
