  • installation (sacred gold from GOG.com)
  • startup (no crash), loading screen
  • menu, after doing `winetricks d3dx9`
  • in principle gameplay, but image is cut off

What does not

  • startup video
  • menu is all black initially
  • after doing `winetricks d3dx9` menu shows, but is moved to the lower right (black bars on left and top), so there the picture is cut off. can play the game, but not see the lower border of the screen, incl. HUD, inventory etc

Workarounds

install `winetricks d3dx9`
