HowTo / Notes

HOWTO

To run AVR Studio, you should install following with winetricks:

- corefonts
- dcom98
- gdiplus
- gecko
- mdac28
- msxml3
- vcrun2005
- allfonts
- fakeie6

The compiler itself should run without that, it is just for the GUI/IDE.

if make fails in AVR Studio, you need to set the native override for msvcrt, that fixed it for me. Everything seems to work except USB programmer connections of course. It even works with my JTAG ICE mkII and AVRISP over a serial port.
make exception

When I build a project after a build clean, make throws an exception after each step. It gets through the whole build after hitting F7 a few more times.
