I used winetricks to get dcom98 (required for GCC plugin), msxml3, and core fonts. I also had to override msvcrt so make would not fail. No other overrides seem to be necessary.

To run AVR Studio, you should install following with winetricks:
- corefonts
- dcom98
- gdiplus
- gecko
- mdac28
- msxml3
- vcrun2005
- allfonts
- fakeie6
The compiler itself should run without that, it is just for the GUI/IDE.
