Multiplayer and LAN.
Updating Halo CE from 1.07 to 1.08.
Gameplay (shooting, throwing bombs, maps, riding vehicles, picking up weapons and owning, blowing up vehicles, invisibility, practically everything works flawlessly).
What does not
During installation you are unable to press Install or Back and such buttons although the tick boxes and maximize minimize exit buttons work.
To get around not being able to click install, all I did was press Enter and did the Installation as per normal.
What was not tested
Using a gamepad.
Running Halo CE 1.08 using an LCD monitor.
Running Halo CE 1.08 in fullscreen (I tested it in Windowed mode).
Running wine in other versions of Windows (all I tested was WINE running as XP).
Given gold since the installation was a bit odd with some of the buttons not being pressable. Halo CE 1.08 was run on a computer with the following specs: Processor: Pentium 4 2.8GHz RAM : 1.5GB DDR1 Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT (binary drivers 185.18.36) NO special wine settings or prefixes were done to get this running. Just double clicked the shortcut on desktop and started playing. Although previously while installing another game I downloaded mfc42.dll and copied it into ~/.wine/windows/system32, so this may or may not have an effect on game playability.

As tested in WINE 1.1.26, HALO CE needs native MSXML4 to properly parse the "*.ksml" files in "\content\" dir.
An easy solution to this is getting WineTricks and install "msxml4" (winetricks.sh msxml4).

use -windowed argument to play.
example: wine haloce.exe - windowed
