I always loaded the game by using the NR2003.exe file where the game was installed. Trying to load the game by using the exe file on the cd does not work.
If when trying to load up the game, it says the cd cannot be found, make
sure the cd is in and open up the path of the cd with a file manager
(this might be only a Kubuntu issue).
OpenGL worked well with only very minor graphics glitches. The first lap or two, the frames per second will be terrible, but it will go way up after that. Sometimes when loading the game up, the top third of the screen was black, going back into the game seemed to fix this.
DirectX D3D only worked decent when the graphics were turned way down.
The sound worked well except for a few minor glitches.
I tested using a wheel and it worked.
Features tested (all worked):Â
Â- Testing SessionÂ
- Single Race
- Multiplayer (connected to a server)
- Player Info
- Opponent Manager
- Replay Studio
- Configure 3D Graphics
Dedicated server loaded up fine, but was not tested to see if players could connect.
What does not
It did lock up once while I was testing, but it was not reproducible.
In DirectX D3D the "track lighting and shading" is extremely glitchy.
Starting (not installing) the game from the CD.
What was not tested
Installing (already was installed)
Dedicated server (other than that it loaded up)
