Install Unknown Enemy add-on, gameplay at full fps.
What does not
It needs a couple of dlls to work fine.
What was not tested
Software and D3D rendering as them turned to be very slow in this game.
Tested on a Geforce 7600GT with 169.09 driver. ALSA used for sound. Zeckensack's glide wrapper used to emulate 3Dfx graphics.

To play this mod you need to a have previously installed a copy of Wing Commander Secret Ops, if you haven't download Secret Ops starter pack from here, episodes are not needed for this install (but they do not hurt).
Then download Unknown Enemy from here, game installs without problems from setup file.
Adding required DLLs
order to run,
Unknown Enemy requires the following dlls, put a copy of Msvbvm50.dll and mfc42.dll into system32 directory on your ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32 directory. Without this game will crash.
In order to run fine this mod you will need to install a Glide wrapper so it can emulate 3Dfx in OpenGL, download it and install, http://www.zeckensack.de/glide/
Direct3D and Software mode refresh less than a frame per second (at least on Nvidia Cards) so avoid it.
So when the launcher appears, select Options > Glide, any desired resolution and... enjoy!
