a) Installed OK despite numerous DLL related messages in the console.
b) Manual hot update to version 1.69 runs flawlessly.
c) Game can be played, but there are caveats (see below)
d) No problems with game audio, but video can be troublesome (see below)
What does not
a) Game crashes if launched directly via nwmain.exe. Game launches OK if started via game launcher nwn.exe.
b) Auto-updater does not work as it fails during module initialization. Not really needed as the hot update to v1.69 is available from NWN website: http://nwn.bioware.com/support/patch.html
c) System auto-detect does not work as it locks up the OS. Alternatively, system settings can be manually set.
d) Must use 16MB texture pack at compatibility mode, otherwise sometimes there is texture corruption in world graphics (no textures, "world" appears all black).
e) Must disable the intro movies in file nwn.ini or else the game will display an all-white screen and becomes unplayable. This link explains how to disable movies: http://nwn.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=233482&forum=65

This is an update to a previous test submission. This is for Neverwinter Nights Diamond release. I did successfully get the game to work in single-player. Therefore, I upgrade to a silver rating. Tested with Wine 1.1.29 (retrieved via MacPorts) on a Macbook running OS X 10.5 "Leopard"... Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz, 2 GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce 9400M.

Multiple users reported that Neverwinter Nights might present problems when running it on a machine with an ATI card.
In order to avoid that, rename the main program file nwmain.exe to something else, like nwmain2.exe. The driver seems to try some optimizations otherwise, which are actually backfiring and causing issues with the game.
IGN doesn't host the patches anymore either They can now be found here: http://neverwintervault.org/patches
