King's Bounty: the Legend (new, 2008)

What works

The download application is able to download, but doesn't display properly so you must observe the title bar because it IS downloading and the percent downloaded will change. Installation works, running requires d3dx9_36.dll but works as well. Everything seems to work such as graphics, sound, talking, combat, quests, leveling but it's not entirely stable, occasionally I have stack overflows but no blocking "crashes every time" issues. No idea if it would be the same in Windows.

What does not

Installation *looks* like it doesn't work, but it does. Also for some reason it managed to save install files to the literal path "%MYDOCS%/Downloads" outside the Wine directory instead of in the My Documents folder as it tried to, but again it works.

Finishing the campaign. Not much of the content has been explored, but what I have done works well.

Additional Comments

I was considering downgrading it to silver based on the freezeups I have, but overall I decided this is a gold experience. And the game itself is just awesome, 90% average on the two that have reviewed it at gamerankings.com so far.
