King's Bounty: the Legend (new, 2008)

What works

Installing, navigation, combat, mostly everything with some very minor graphical issues.

What does not

In the beginning it seems great but as the game progresses you'll have more and more stack exceptions. The crashes seem to accumulate even if you restart the game and become more and more frequent, 80% when entering battle and 20% when changing area. The battles that happen out on the play area just seem to hang randomly, while certain "fixed" battles don't work. So far I got persistent crashes on: a) Combating the battle mages of Zerock to unlock the spirit b) Fighting a castle in the swamplands c) Returning from the island after killing the first boss. The last one is pretty much a game killer since I can't progress further, I'm trapped. It's so sad because everything else seems to be working ok, but the random crashes are very frustrating and now they've completely killed the main line quest.

Nothing except endgame, but I got a lvl6 mage who's done pretty much everything on the first island.

Have to restart *very* often and can't finish the game, that's a bronze to me. Maybe it'd have been a silver if I wasn't fully blocked.
