Installer completes with no problems on a standard Wine install (no DLL overrides). Setting up the license file works too.
The program freezes at first startup when trying to set up programming drivers. To get around this, open taskmgr and repeatedly kill mount.exe, umount.exe, and setupx86.exe. It seems Altera is using Cygwin for this functionality (so we are trying to emulate *nix in an emulated Windows on *nix). After the initial startup Quartus will run fine without any special tricks.
What does not
Programming devices will most likely not work, since the driver install fails as described above.
Opening the Help>About window crashes Quartus II.
What was not tested
Many functions, since there are too many to test. Seems like enough functionality is present for me to use it for my student projects.
