I'm glad to tell you that this great demo works perfectly! In clean Wine environment it runs from start to finish without any errors. However when you do some registry tweaks then the overall frame rate would be better!
Registry Settings: DirectDrawRenderer=opengl; OffscreenRenderingMode=fbo; VideoMemorySize=1024, WINEDEBUG=-all
