What works

  • Installing the game.
  • Traversing the menus.
  • Configuring the game.
  • Starting a new campaign.
  • Loading an old campaign.
  • Playing single player levels (tested only a couple of 'em).
  • Gracefully quitting.

What does not

Higher terrain detail.
Higher than 'lowest' results in ugly blue blots on terrain faces. Doesn't look like z-fighting. I've only tested this for the first level, I'm not sure if it occurs anywhere else.
Proper sound support
Much lag, sound loops for beams etc. are also often chopped into short segments, as if I'm shooting repeatedly.
Proper game input
At the start of each level, I'm shooting, because I clicked to skip the cutscene (LMB 'hangs', until LMB is pressed again). Occasionally, the mouse somehow leaves the capture window, leaving BE:A out of control. When this happens, keyboard input also hangs until the hanging keys are pressed again.

Workarounds
