Installation from cd, installation of 1.2 patch and playing single player campaign and rpg game; intro, cutscenes, sound, music, creating rpg character, weather effects, all of that works.
What does not
Minor graphical glitches - glittering shadow under main character and some stretched textures. First I launched Config.exe and set all the highest graphical settings, and resolution of 1024x768, graphics test went ok, but I noticed these graphical glitches in speed test, I think those stretched textures were supposed to be arrows. More major glitches appeared when I changed resolution to 1280x1024, some squares of ground textures were rendered bad or black. So I set earlier resolution and launched the game (PolanieII.exe). The stretched textures appeared in menu's background, but in the game they were pretty minor.
What was not tested
Longer play, multiplayer, lower graphical settings.
Note this game used to be widely known in Poland (where it was developed) as "Polanie II", abroad in Europe it's "KnightShift" and "Once Upon a Knight" in USA. Maybe this should be written in description of the game. I tested Polish retail cd version with 1.2 patch applied. My card is nvidia 7600gt with 180.41 drivers. My system desktop resolution is 1280x1024 and wine's has enabled 1024x768 virtual desktop mode with hardware accelerated vertex shaders and pixel shaders on.
