Opening/saving files works, opening EPS/AI/PDF/etc. files, CMYK/RGB modes, creating/editing text works, vector fills/patterns/etc. look good, etc.
What does not
Illustrator has some weird behavior on CERTAIN things, but are not dealbreakers. Just work around them, and you'll have a good experience.
#1) Only major/weird "workflow adjusting" bug I see:
When you create a vector shape/some text/etc. and then select it...and then move it across the screen the program freezes/acts up for a split second (and you see it in orig. position and destination position). Sometimes you can quickly select type to stop the error that pops up, but if you try moving it again via clicking and dragging w the mouse, the error will re-appear:
"Unhandled exception: page fault on write access to..."
WORKAROUND: Instead of clicking and dragging item, just use arrow keys (or SHIFT+arrow keys) to move the type/shape/object/etc. around. No errors occur then.
#2) Not a major bug, but annoying:
If you have a file open in Illustrator, and then from outside Illustrator double-click on a file (or similar) to open in Illustrator...all the window palettes in Illustrator will disappear.
WORKAROUND: Inside Illustrator, go to File > Open to find the file you wish to open, and then this won't occur.
#3) Illustrator Palettes "On Top" of other programs.
Unless you minimize Illustrator, its palettes will remain "on top" of other things, like Chrome.
#4) If you minimize, then maximize, palettes will disappear.
Forcing you to restart (you CAN reopen them, but it's easier/quicker to just close/start program).
What was not tested
All major functionality was tested (opening EPSs, AI files, PDF files (even newer than Illustrator 10 supports, etc.), importing images, etc.
