Quicken

What works

• Most basic function, open accounts, all my saved custom reports showed up fine, hiding accounts, reconciling accounts etc.  It is very workable though not completely perfect.
• Backing up files works fine, I chose to back up to a USB stick
• I originally tried to run the copy on Quicken 2009 on my Windows xp partition and that didn't work, so unlike some other Windows apps you should run the install to get it working, not just copying the quicken folder into the Wine Program directory.
• Calendar and alerts
  

What does not

• Updating accounts with One Step, upon clicking, a registration page occurs, the text and fonts are garbled, so you have to cancel and can't go forward.  During normal use I like to update my stock portfolios and account balances, so this would been a handy feature to have working
• Startup sound in the beginning

Additional Comments

I would have preferred a rating between Silver and Gold, but it works well, I think most users would be happy with it, it should only get better with newer versions of Wine. I give a Platinum rating to the Wine developing team. Admin note: rating changed to conform to the rating definitions.
