What works

Installing, configuring a site, uploading, downloading, synchronizing, editing a file in code view.

Tool tips (hover) and auto-suggest (ctrl+space) work as expected.

I've been using it for about 36 hours now and only had it crash once when I was impatient and clicking furiously in the same spot trying to get a menu open.  Other than that (which was probably user-error) it has been amazingly stable.

What does not

­­The toolbar is a little quirky and requires you to change the window size a few ­times to get everything looking right.  There are a few rendering glitches in the window, but they are on the corners where nothing important resides.

Also, the background of the toolbar is a little darker than I remember it being on Windows, so the menu items (File, Edit, View, etc.) look a little weird.

Sometimes tooltips get stuck in places, but depending on where they are you can usually ignore them.  Minimizing and refreshing takes care of about half but the only other way to get rid of them that I've found is to restart.

Also with regards to the tool tips, they are rendered so you can't click through them.  For example, if you are hovering over a file in the file list, and the tool tip pops up giving you the full filename, clicking on the tool tip does not allow you to select the underlying file like you would be able to in Windows.  That is a little annoying but simply clicking on the icon to the left of the filename works fine every time, since the tool tips don't ever get rendered there.

The custom color picker doesn't seem to work, but the standard color picker works fine.

What was not tested

­I didn't test anything in design mode -- I write everything and wouldn't be able to judge it very well.  I haven't tried any of the templates (I don't use them e­ither), but creating a new file causes no problems.

Additional Comments

It is a real hassle to get installed but possible. First off, you can't use a pre-compiled package, you must patch the wine sources. Then, if like me, you must download every necessary x86 devel sources because you likely don't have them if you run a x64_86 distro. Once you get the required dev sources and patch wine, simply installing a few packages through winetricks and changing a few settings in winecfg is all you need to do.
