Bombzone

This is the sequel to Bombzone 1.0. It will add network support and new themes. Still alpha!

This version can only be played on LAN/network, but has got no singleplayer/multiplayer on one machine, like 1.0 has!

Selected Test Results

What works

  • Game starts, can select "start server", can walk in pre-game mode and plant bombs (walk by using arrow keys, plant bomb using [Ctrl]). Joining a game works too!
  • opening console via [#]-key (qwertz; key next to enter and right shift)
  • To start a game, open the console and type "#start" with 2 or more players connected! Type "#stop" to stop the game or "#exit" to quit to main menu...
  • gameplay works fine!

What does not

Since the console opens by pressing [#] instead of [^], and console commands start with "#"-character, it's quite difficult to use it. (Think you would simply have to change layout to a german one...)

HowTo / Notes

HOWTO : Get it to run in a window or another resolution

The game itself won't reset the screen's resolution, to avoid this, edit bmz2k7.ini:
Change "fullscreen =1" to "fullscreen =0", save and start the game!

You can enable debugmode, change settings and resolution too.
