You have to use winetricks and install: corefonts, dcom98, gdiplus, gecko, mdac28, msxml3, vcrun2005, allfonts, fakeie6 to run. Install works without it.

To run AVR Studio, you should install following with winetricks:

The compiler itself should run without that, it is just for the GUI/IDE.
