What works

  • Running the installer: It quits with the message: "1628: Failed to complete installation."
  • Playing the game.
  • Sounds.
  • Music.


What does not

  • Installation takes a long time and does not complete.
  • The game window automatically minimizes when switching desktop workspaces. (Bug #37937. The window can be restored without problems though.)

Workarounds

  • If the installation does not complete (successfully), see if the game is installed in `Program Files/Activision/Quantum of Solace(TM) Demo'.  You need to run `jb_sp_s.exe'.
  • To prevent the game window from automatically minimizing when run under Wine's full-screen mode, run it in virtual-desktop mode.
