Additional Comments
First you must install the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime... it is easiest done by doing like this (parsed from a comment by J. Snell) : I've not been able to get the installer to work properly with wine 1.1.11, but I have discovered a method to work around it (for the sp1 release at least). First, you need the following three .dll files in ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32: msvcm80.dll msvcp80.dll msvcr80.dll Which can be obtained from an installation on Windows (search for them, they might not be in system32), or manually downloading them from various .dll sites. I haven't been able to get the installer to create them. Next you need to copy across a bunch of directories and manifest files to ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/winsxs, which you can obtain by moving your existing ~/.wine directory asside, and running the installer in a brand new one (they wouldn't create in my existing one). For example: mv ~/.wine ~/.wine-backup wine vcredist_x86.exe cp -r .wine/drive_c/windows/winsxs/x86_Microsoft.VC80.* ~/.wine-backup/drive_c/windows/winsxs/ cp -r .wine/drive_c/windows/winsxs/manifests/x86_Microsoft.VC80.* ~/.wine-backup/drive_c/windows/winsxs/manifests/ mv .wine-backup .wine Once I'd done all of this I was then able to run programs that depended on the Visual C++ 2005 SP1 runtime package. -------------------- Now go into the folder where you installed the application and run "wine RadioTracker.exe". It will display errormessages about missing Windows Mediaplayer DLL's. Do a google search for each of the DLL files, download and put into system32 in your fake windows installation folder. Now the application will work without problems!
