What works
Movies, openings, sounds, gameplay, configures.
What does not
Fullscreen doesn't always work.
Workarounds
If fullscreen doesn't work, you should check your GUI drivers. Some cards/drivers seem to scale gui better than others. Other possible solutions might be related to how you can fix the same error on windows 8:" In a small number of cases, Windows 8.1 will upscale GUI elements. Whether this is caused by nonstandard resolutions/aspect ratios is unknown, however there are two fixes. The first option is to lower the screen resolution. The second option is reducing or disabling GUI scaling."I uninstalled my drivers to test and I got the game work with 1280x960 resolution. It might work with other resolutions aswell but i am not sure. Note that you need to change the resolution before you launch the game. Do not try to quit the game in fullscreen mode. Always change to windowed with alt+enter before quitting.
What was not tested

Additional Comments
I am quite positive japanese characters are displayed correctly if you can successfully install japanese fonts.

Modify the settings in the userconf.exe file that comes with the game to use gdi directly (can be rather difficult as it's all in japanese).

performance the most; From top to bottom, change the options marked in

The game will give and error and not allow you to continue gameplay when attempting to play videos. A workaround for this issue is to simply delete the video.xp3 file found in the working directory.
