HowTo / Notes

Installing and Running Safari
(recommend to use latest wine) ­
  1. Download winetricks ( and run
    sh winetricks corefonts flash
    (corefonts prevents a crash; flash lets you view flash pages.)
  2. Download Safari 3.2 "for Windows XP or Vista" (without Quicktime) from and run it with
    wine SafariSetup.exe
    Deselect Install Bonjour for Windows and Install Apple Software Update.

  3. Start Safari.exe from ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Safari/.
