Spirits of Metropolis

What works

Literally everything. The game runs very fast with a slight fps downgrade from Windows, however configurable in-game options can completely rectify this issue. The music, editor, game play, menus and bonus features all work perfectly as expected.

What does not

The game does require the user to set "Emulate in Virtual Desktop" with the dimensions set to 800x600 in WINE's Control Panel.

If this is not set, the game will appear in the top left hand corner of the screen, and if set in-game to windowed mode, the game will be shifted up to the top of the window with most content unvisible. However, the above fix of setting the game to emulate a virtual desktop works flawlessly.

Additional Comments

So long as the user sets Wine's graphical settings to "Emulate a Virtual Desktop" at 800x600 the game works flawlessly. Other then this, the only difference to running the game in Microsoft Windows is that under Wine their is a very slight FPS drop however this in no way impacts on the game play whatsoever. Also, although the game is not free (it costs 20USD). A demo can be played via the official website in which compatibility between the demo and full game does not differ. http://spiritsofmetropolis.com
