Additional Comments

The screen resizing for this game is completely broken. In the menu, the window will get resized but the button text won't be where you have to actually click to get to that menu option. In the actual game, the window will be resized but the ACTUAL game size is still the original, cutting off part of the game. This makes playing the game on screens with pixel height of 800 and below very frustrating. I'm having trouble getting the game to run consistently as well. It only starts about 1/3rd of the time - it just hangs otherwise

fullscreen
by Gwilly on Friday May 15th 2009, 12:24
is there some kind of coding missing for scaling/resizing?
because not only does fullscreen not work, but trying to bump down to lower resolutions the image doesnt resize at all but the pointer still renders in the correct resolution.
that would also explain the pointer being "out of sync"

also for pulseaudio issues you could wrap it in padsp with wine set to oss, even though it is abit buggy, works alright for my wine stuff

It doesn't seem to handle "nonstandard" (e.g. widescreen) resolutions well. I found that if I told WINE to give it a virtual desktop of, say, 1024x768, it worked nicely, both in appearance and mouse accuracy.
No sound at all
by Oli on Friday March 27th 2009, 4:17
I've noticed the comment about sound in the current report but I get no sound at all. I've all the Wine audio drivers and various ways of killing pulseaudio to let the native ALSA driver work on its own (used to cause problems with steam)...

But nothing works for me.
64-bit problems
by Joe on Wednesday January 21st 2009, 14:04
Attempting to run on 64-bit systems gives this:

$ wine crayon.exe
err:module:load_builtin_dll failed to load .so lib for builtin L"WLDAP32.dll": libldap_r-2.3.so.0: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
err:module:import_dll Loading library WLDAP32.dll (which is needed by L"C:\\Program Files\\Crayon Physics Deluxe\\crayon.exe") failed (error c000007a).
err:module:LdrInitializeThunk Main exe initialization for L"C:\\Program Files\\Crayon Physics Deluxe\\crayon.exe" failed, status c0000135

I've tried this on 2 different systems, while on my 2 32-bit machines the game runs as expected.

You need the WLDAP32.dll from a 32bit windows installation and add an override for the dll. You can just put the dll in the Crayon Physics Deluxe folder.

I had the same problem and it runs fine now.
