What works

Starting a new game (though you have to disable music in Data/Settings.txt, otherwise the game hangs). The 3D interface appears briefly (missing some stuff like the starfield background, but at least the planets are visible!), but after a few seconds of rotating the map for fun it crashes. On the plus side, the 2D game setup interface appears to be somewhat improved in performance from previous versions of wine, though that could be wishful thinking; I don't recall what exactly the status of the DIB engine is!

What does not

Actually playing the game once you get to the 3D interface
