Installer in certain situations (see additional comments)
What was not tested
Running the installer originally resulted in a generic "Invalid Name" error. This ended up being because the containing folder of the installer had kanji in it, and wine incorrectly decoded it to the classic "empty box" error. Moving it to a folder that had just regular ASCII characters let the installer run just fine. No extra packages from winetricks were necessary, though there were some d3d fixmes that went away when installing d3dx9.
