Additional Comments

Game was tested on a custom rig with the following specs: AMD Athlon X2 2.1GHz 2GB DDR2 RAM ATI Radeon 2600XT 256MB PCI-Express Motherboard with AMD 690 chipset Installed the full version of the game and patched it. There are 4 patches, each one has to be applied in order. Patches are labeled version 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 and 1.5B - do not install a newer patch before installing an older one. Darkstone runs in 16-bit mode by default, which seems to be a problem with certain modern video cards in Wine. For me it was necessary to launch the game from the command line with the -32bit flag for proper rendering with FGLRX, IE: wine "c:\games\darkstone\darkstone.exe" -32bit Alternatively, you can navigate through the Ubuntu menus by clicking Applications>Wine>Programs>Darkstone> and right-click on the Darkstone launcher to either "Add this launcher to panel" or "Add this launcher to desktop" so you can edit it. Right-click on your new launcher and select Properties. In the "Command:" box, after Darkstone.exe" add -32bit without quotation marks. In one of the game menus the "Export" command shows up as "MExport" for some reason, but I consider that a minor glitch that doesn't affect gameplay. The game also periodically pauses for a moment, but always resumes without crashing. It was not necessary to replace any native dll files with Windows ones to get the game to render properly. To access saved games, it is necessary to launch the game in the same fashion each time. For example, if you launch the game from the command line in your home folder, and save a game, you must do this again to be able to access your saves, otherwise they will not be visible in the Load Saved Game menu.
