Additional Comments
I installed the game both from the original CD and the GOG.com installer. Both of them worked properly in my system. The main problem with the game is its cinematics. They just don't work, and make the game crash on start. I tried a lot of different recommendations I read on other users' test datas (for example, among others, installing amstream and ir50_32 DLLs), to absolutely no avail. Even worse: you can't delete the movie files from your hard drive because if you do that the game will simply refuse to skip the movies and run itself, and will start asking you incessantly for the movie files and/or your original CD of the game. Therefore, the only practical solution I found to this problem is to simply add the following parameters to the desktop and/or menu shortcut of the executable for the game: -nointro (This one will effectively skip the intro movie) -noplaycine (This one will effectively skip the in-game cinematics) Applying both parameters, I was able to launch the game and play it flawlessly. I already won once at novice and am currently planning on trying the next difficulty levels. I'll give this game a Gold rating because, once resolved the cinematics issue, I had no problems with it, even less complaints; and the use of the parameters stated above qualify IMO as the "other settings" stated on the definition of the Gold rating. Nonetheless, I'll leave any possible modification of this rating to the administrators' discretion.
