With some patience (carefully moving the mouse) I was able to start a new game, and play through the tutorial and I saw no other problems. The 3D graphics are even very fast.

How to prevent crashes during introduction animation?

To prevent the crashes during introduction animation run winecfg and in Libraries tab, set openal32 to "Native(Windows)".
