Everything up to the first few check points.
What does not
I had issues with getting mouse button clicks recognized under Key Setup, but after restarting the game this disappeared. I also had trouble getting mouse movement to be recognized when in-play but after pressing alt-tab to select a different window and then going back to F.E.A.R. 2 it was fine. This has never occurred again.
I also had some issues getting everything up and running. See caveats under additional information.
What was not tested
Anything after the first four checkpoints
Installation (from DVDs) did not quit nicely, although the game and shortcuts were installed. I was required to install DXSETUP.exe located under /Support/DirectX9 in the installation directory or the game would crash/hang at launch. The game then complained about lacking sound acceleration and refused to start. After poking around I traced this to needing to install WMFADist.exe, which I retrieved from my original F.E.A.R. discs (apparently the first game and this must use WMA codecs). I then had to set Hardware Acceleration under the Audio tab in winecfg to Emulated, and set the sample rate to 44100 in order for sound to continue working after the intro videos.
