This new version seems to require some extra DLLs that weren't in my stock .wine directory.
These were pdh.dll and odbcbcp.dll.
If you have an XP CD you can expand them from there. I used the wine version of expand
wine expand (path to i386 dir)/PDH.DL_ $HOME/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/pdh.dll
wine expand (path to i386 dir)/ODBCBCP.DL_ $HOME/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/odbcbcp.dll
or just use winetricks (http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks) and select pdh.dll.
