Everything that I've tried seems to work. From simple HelloWorld programs to large object-oriented programs employing logic-trees, ArrayLists, etc.
What does not
The software starts with a couple of strange errors when it loads the last project you've worked on during launch. However, they don't seem to affect anything.
What was not tested
Although I tested a lot of things, I was obviously unable to test the full breadth of the Java programming language on it.
It takes a little bit of work to setup. These instructions were taken from a discussion on ubuntuforms ( http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=119694&page=2 ) 1. Install Java JDK 5 or 6. (I tested it with five): sudo apt-get install sun-java5-jdk 2. Tell Ubuntu to use Sun Java 1.5: sudo update-java-alternatives -s java-1.5.0-sun 3. Download the executable JAR file from the given link. 4. cd to the directory where the jar file was downloaded and execute it: java -jar bluej-250.jar
