Additional Comments

The latest alpha version. First get the installer off, install, then overwrite with a nightly build from Tested with 2.0 alpha build 819. Screen refresh is somewhat buggy. Closing a dialog may leave the screen corrupted. Some minor tweaking needed to open documents by hitting "enter" (e.g. configure to run-mailcap on all files) and to envoke linux apps

HowTo / Notes

Start a new console. Run env WINEPREFIX="/home/[user]/.wine" wineconsole --backend=user "C:\Program Files\Far20\Far.exe" Command line output will go in to the starting console. You could also redirect it with pipes. Running native Linux commands may require creating symbolic links with an .exe extension pointing to the commands.

Due to bug 34277 Far2 may not work for you.
