Roblox Studio runs fine and you can use it to login in.
Roblox Player Launcher works fine, but it opens the webpage in the native browser, not in browser within the Wine environment.
What does not
I cannot figure out how to get the player to try to start a game.
What was not tested
Actually playing a game.
The command line options reported by the Roblox Player Beta are:

If you are having issues, make sure you ran "winetricks ddr=gdi". If it still does not work, try wine-staging.
Both Roblox Player & Studio work far better with OpenGL graphics enabled.
To enable OpenGL mode, open the Roblox Studio, click "File", then "Settings", followed by "Rendering". A prompt will come up saying "Changing settings may make ROBLOX unstable". Click OK. Under the Rendering submenu, change the option "graphicsMode" from "Direct3D" to "OpenGL". Restart Roblox Studio. The game should now perform much better.
The Roblox game client is using security features (code virtualization/encryption) that prevent Wine (and other emulators) from connecting to servers.
The client will load up just fine and you will be connected for a brief second but will be forced into a disconnect within 10 seconds.
