What does not
The main menu is not rendered correctly. Texture offsets are all over the place. On click, the new graphic is drawn on top and the mouse is very sluggish. The menu is unusable.
To prevent crashing at startup:

Needs winetricks directmusic, or it will crash on start.
When running from a terminal, cd to the program directory to run it (or use wine start /unix) or it will crash on start.
Mouse is unresponsive (bug 13351)
This may not be a Wine bug, as the problem has been reported by Windows users, too. The workaround in Linux is to use xinput to change your acceleration profile. In a terminal, run
and take note of the ID of your mouse. Then run
xinput set-prop mouse-ID 'Device Accel Profile' 6
If your mouse still moves too slowly, run:
xinput set-prop mouse-ID 'Device Accel Velocity Scaling' 100
Since this affects mouse acceleration on your whole system, not just the game, you will probably want to change it back after exiting the game:xinput set-prop mouse-ID 'Device Accel Profile' 0
