Install process: * Purchase GCA from SJ Games. Download from e23 and run the installer. Accept the defaults. * Check for updates and patch up your program files and data files as needed. * Requires the Windows version of riched20.dll and oleaut32.dll. Copy these from your XP system32 folder to your .wine/drive_c/windows/system32 folder * Run GCA! I recommend that you go into tools / start options and turn of Load New Character. Otherwise the load takes longer than necessary. Note: Ubuntu 8.10 ships with Wine 1.0.1. By adding the Wine repository to Synaptic and updating to Wine 1.1.17, GCA runs a little more smoothly. Edit: resubmitting with updated Wine version number as first submit was incorrect.
