Sling have released a Firefox plugin that connects to a Slingbox in the same way that the SlingPlayer should.
There is also an IE plugin available.
The plugin is intended for Windows users who do not have admin access. This is not an issue under Wine so using the true Slingplayer makes more sense.

The crash is fixed in latest git. Native qcap no longer needed in latest git. Remote loads in latest git.

Tested with Wine 1.7.9.
1. Install Firefox 26 manually (do not use Winetricks).
2. Run winetricks -q quartz
All done.
