Additional Comments
The game crashes very often. This is NOT a problem of wine but of the game instead. If it halts, just press "return" to close the NOT visible error message (this is also a problem of the game). Overall I played about 15 hours without much problems. If you try to change any key bindings, the game seems to halt and wait for an key entry (like it does on the original OS), but seems not to respond to any input. Game settings: - 1600x1200 resolution - Graphic options all at maximum. - I used the additional start parameter "TDR2000.exe -f" of the game, to enhance the texture quality. Wine settings: - window mode 1600x1200 Specs: - Wine 1.2 - Ubuntu 8.04 LTS - Kernel 2.6.24-28-generic - Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3,16GHz - 4GB RAM Mushkin XP2-8500 1066MHz - ATI HD4870 512MB (using official "ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series" driver Release 9.10) - Window manager: metacity works fine

Just edit file TDR2000.gfx after installation and a first game start:
The first step is the most important one 4294967295 = 0xFFFFFFFF, so I think the graphics card was detected as unknown. After that change you can use the 3D setup tool of the game.
If you want to play Carmageddon TDR 2000 with changeable controls and cheating console with every language, then you need the following code.
